NYTUG 2017 Recap

There are few events that we like more than NYTUG (and we aren't biased because we help organize this event, we swear!). After requests from people in the New York and New Jersey areas, we helped to create this event last year to give HPE NonStop users an opportunity to learn what's going on in NonStop from HPE, and hear great presentations from other innovators in the NonStop space. It was such a success, we brought it back again this year with even more success at the HPE facility in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey!

Attendees were treated to great presentations from HPE about Blockchain/Bitcoin/DLT from Matt Riesz, Jenkins and DevOps from Meg Watson, and of course new developments in vNonStop from John Vollers and Peters Schvarcz (many who have seen them know their Hans and Frans routine!). Other presentations included our friends at XYPRO, Gravic, Idelji, OmniPayments, comForte and a special chat with Bill Highleyman from Availability Digest.

NuWave was also happy to demonstrate LightWave ServerTM once we got past some technical difficulties with the internet at the facility. LightWave ServerTM is a Guardian process that accepts JSON messages via HTTP over TCP/IP. LightWave ServerTM converts each JSON request message into your server's own interprocess message (IPM) format before forwarding to the server. We also were happy to give away an Echo Dot to a lucky attendee.

After the event, attendees and presenters gathered at Delicious Heights to mingle and enjoy some refreshments and appetizers (just in case the delicious spread at the event wasn't enough!). With the success of this event two years in a row, we hope even more customers and users in the NY/NJ area will continue to come learn more about what is going on in the HPE NonStop community for years to come!
