One of the most highly anticipated events in the HPE NonStop community each year is the Connect NonStop Technical Boot Camp, or TBC for short (previously named and still called ITUG). This gathering of HPE employees, NonStop users, and partners is the most comprehensive technical overview of all things NonStop, created by the HPE NonStop community, for the community. There is no other event like it, and we are here to break down what you can probably expect from TBC this year, November 15-16, in San Jose.
The obvious big name on this ticket is HPE itself. Along with their roadmap, they often make their big announcements for the coming year at TBC. Last year, we got great keynotes and presentations from many facets of HPE. They discussed new trends and gave great insight into many of the challenges the NonStop community faces, as well as how all of the great innovations we have seen from the community is continuing to advance the platform.
This year we expect HPE to talk a lot about their new offerings for NonStop users and how developers and vendors have and will continue to move in the same direction to offer the most comprehensive products and services possible to users. These include topics like cloud storage and offering a la carte services to allow NonStop users of all sizes to get the most out of their servers.
Last year we also heard a lot of really great announcements from many vendors, so we expect to see even more great innovations from our industry friends. Last year, Gravic announced the launch of their new synchronous replication feature, Shadowbase ZDL, which became available earlier this year. TANDsoft’s new SDI Toolkit made it's debut, too, as did 4tech Software's Integrity Detective, which provides real-time monitoring and reporting of your HPE NonStop files, objects and live sub-system configurations. XYPRO launched XYGATE SecurityOneTM, the newest member of the XYGATE suite of products, proactively provides real-time security intelligence and analytics for HPE NonStop servers. These are just some of the innovations we saw last year, and we expect many vendors this year to keep in with the cloud and a-la-carte services trend that we have seen this year.
We plan on making a very exciting announcement ourselves, so make sure you stop by NuWave's presentation!
We always look forward to speaking with our customers and other users to find out their needs, and TBC is always a great venue to hear about people's challenges and discuss the future of HPE NonStop. Will you be attending the Connect NonStop Technical Boot Camp this year?
